Futura Learning Partnership and Olympus Academy Trust proposal to merge
June 2025
Futura and Olympus are pleased to announce that their proposal to come together to form a new Trust has been given approval by the Department of Education (DfE).
The final decision will be made by the Trustees of each Trust and will be informed by the findings of the due diligence process and the views of stakeholders. Our stakeholder consultation will run from 24th June – 4th July 2025; it will give our staff, governors, parents/carers and interested parties the opportunity to hear more about the merger and enable our Trustees to hear their views. This will help to inform the final decision by the Futura and Olympus Trust Boards, which Trustees aim to make before the new school year begins in September. If both Boards agree to go forward with the merger, then the anticipated date for the merger to take place is January 2026.
