Abbeywood Community School are still a GOOD school

We are delighted to share that, following a recent Ofsted Inspection in March 2025, Abbeywood Community School continues to be a Good school.  We are proud to report that Abbeywood Community School has been judged as good in every area. Here are some extracts from the report:

“Pupils thrive at Abbeywood Community School. They value the warm, supportive relationships they have with members of staff.  The school has high expectations.”

Abbeywood is currently undergoing a building expansion programme, with a new 10-classroom building due to be completed for January 2026 in addition to other expansion works in the existing building.  The school currently has 1,281 learners from Year 7 to Year 13 and the building expansion is to accommodate a move from 180 to 240 students per year group, requested by South Gloucestershire Council, to reflect the need for more places locally in a successful and oversubscribed school.  For any families wishing to attend any of our Open Events in September then please see here for more details… Abbeywood School - Thinking of Joining Us.

Ben Dilley, Headteacher, said: “The report reflects what happens at Abbeywood on a daily basis.  On behalf of the leadership team and governing body, I would like to thank staff, students, governors and the Abbeywood community for their continued support and commitment to ensure that, as a staff body, we deliver the very best learning experiences for our learners.”
