Olympus Academy Trust GCSE Results 2022 including individual School reports
GCSE Results – 25th August 2022
Despite the most challenging preparation time any cohort of students has ever had to cope with, Year 11 students in all our Olympus secondary settings have been rewarded for their resilience with success in their GCSEs. We knew that results nationally this year would be between 2021 (when grades were based on assessment done directly by schools) and 2019, which was the last year exams took place. We are thrilled that many students exceeded expectations and have achieved the grades they need for their next steps, whether that be post 16 courses or training and apprenticeships.
Abbeywood (including Bristol Technology and Engineering Academy), Bradley Stoke, Patchway and Winterbourne will all share details of their students’ outcomes with news of successes for particular subjects, groups of students and individuals. At one end of the spectrum, there are students across the Trust who have achieved 10 or more GCSEs at grade 9, the highest grade. For many others, however, success looks more modest in terms of grades achieved but is just as impressive for the effort put in and progress made.
Trust CEO, Dave Baker, said: “I am delighted for every student who has tasted success today and wish them all well in the next phase of their education and training. I hope we will see many of them signing up at the start of September to continue with us in the Olympus Post 16 Partnership. I would also like to thank all Olympus staff who have worked so hard to teach, encourage, support and challenge their students over the years alongside parents and carers who have had to be more actively involved than usual because of the pandemic. For any students who have not done as well as they had hoped, these results are not the end of the road – I urge you to come into school and talk to staff about how we can support you with your next steps too.”
