Our Performance
Olympus itself isn’t inspected, only its schools. However, inspectors make judgements about the quality of our support and impact as part of every inspection visit.
Inspectors refer to Olympus as ‘the trust’ because we are a Multi Academy Trust.
- The school and the trust work collaboratively to enhance and enrich the academic and pastoral curriculum. Governance is strong. Governors and trustees challenge and support the school’s work in equal measure. Staff are overwhelmingly proud to work at the school. The school supports their workload and well-being well. March 2025 Abbeywood Community School.
- There have been many staffing changes in recent times. Despite this, leaders, alongside the trust, have made significant and rapid enhancements in several aspects of their work. They have identified the priorities that will have the biggest impact on pupils. Leaders are implementing meticulous plans to further develop the school, for example to improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and raise levels of attendance. March 2026 Meadowbrook Primary School
- Leaders and teachers use the expertise of trust staff well. Teachers embrace taking part in additional training to learn about educational research and approaches to implementing the ambitious curriculum. This ensures that staff’s subject knowledge is continually improving. Staff’s morale is generally high. November 2022 Stoke Lodge Primary School
-
Following the last inspection, leadership and staffing at the school have experienced uncertainty. The trust has since appointed a new leadership team. The team recognised the areas where the school needed to improve. Its relentless work has had a positive impact. Pupils know the school values: ‘Ready, Respectful, Safe’. Pupils explained that bullying is rare, but if it does happen, staff help them resolve any worries they may have. July 2024 Filton Hill
- The trust’s support for the school has brought about significant improvement. June 2018 Callicroft Primary Academy
- Staff training and support networks facilitated by The Olympus Academy Trust are leading to improving standards. November 2017 Charborough Road Primary School
- The academy trust provides effective support and training which has helped senior leaders improve the quality of teaching. November 2017 Charborough Road Primary School.
