Women in Leadership Programme- NATSA

The North Avon Teaching School Alliance has secured funding from the Leadership Equality and Diversity Fund to support women in primary and secondary schools in South Gloucestershire to progress with their careers. The ultimate aim is to increase the proportion of female Headteachers in the area.

The programme is targeted at Senior Leaders, or very experienced Middle Leaders, who have the potential to progress onto headship in the future.

Funding has been secured for two years: there are 12 spaces on the programme each year. The programme is limited to 12 participants in order to maximise impact by including a mock interview process and one-to-one sessions as well as structured sessions. Places will also be limited to one participant per school per year. Due to limited places, suitable applicants in Year 1 may be prioritised for places in Year 2.

It is really important that all participants attend all of the following dates:

Participants will not be required to completed project work throughout the programme but will be encouraged to target areas for development to support career progression.

Please remember that this is not a job application. The selection panel will be looking to see where maximum impact can be achieved. The selection panel will be made up of the Directors of Teaching South Gloucestershire Schools.
