Why work for us?

Our staff members are committed, patient, resilient, reliable and reflective.

Our staff deliver quality teaching, hold their colleagues in high regard and display the highest level of professionalism. With honesty and care, our staff will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of excellence. They are scrupulously honest and act with integrity, deal with pupils, parents and staff with respect, demonstrate passion and pride, are prepared, punctual and polite, and make every day matter and every pupil count. If you are as extraordinary, and have the same skill set, we want to hear from you.

We’re passionate and committed to the development and education of our children.

Our young people are fearless, ambitious, positive, aware, compassionate, inquisitive, and use their mistakes to grow. They feel safe, have confidence to explore and share their ideas and take ownership of their own learning. Our pupils think of others before themselves and treat their peers with respect and honour. They take pride in their work and want to affect change within the world around them. With resilience and collaboration our pupils will tread the steps of success and become lifelong learners. They value every lesson and every day, respect themselves, each other and their community, are polite, prepared and demonstrate a sense of pride.

Our parents and our community

Our passionate network of parents is fully involved in supporting the school’s vision. Parents are responsible, realistic, and want the best for all our children. Parents are encouraged to support the work of the school and to work in partnership to maximise opportunities for staff and students.

What our staff say:

“Being able to access the support and expertise of staff in our 9 schools has really helped develop my teaching practice, and I know that I can take the next step in my career while remaining in the same organisation, which is brilliant.” Andy Sharp, Teacher, Bradley Stoke Community School

I like the team ethos of our support staff; everyone is always willing to help each other and I can genuinely say that our office is a great place to work with colleagues that care about delivering the very best for our schools and young people.”  Sue Wright, Finance Manager

I value the work we do with Dave Baker and his team. With their support, my team at Abbeywood have transformed lives at a pace. I enjoy our lively educational debates, the absolute focus on children’s needs and the shared passion for high aspirations for all.” Dave Howe, Headteacher, Abbeywood Community School

The South Gloucestershire Region

Our schools are all within 4 miles of each other, placed on the outskirts of South Gloucestershire and only a 20-minute car journey from Bristol city centre. South Gloucestershire boasts some stunning countryside areas, yet is close to the motorway if you need it, with South Wales within a 30-minute drive and London only 90 minutes away by train.  It is the gateway to Devon and Cornwall and an ideal base from which to explore the whole of the South West.

Bristol is undoubtedly one of the most vibrant cities in the UK.  With its rich maritime history as one of the country’s largest ports for over a century, Bristol is a network of architectural, historical and cultural offerings.  Bristol’s economy is impressive with major financial institutions, large aeronautics production, Portishead ports, and industry in both the production and service sectors.

In addition the city enjoys a diverse artistic and cultural calendar with theatres, live music venues and a plethora of festivals throughout the year – largely driven by the burgeoning student communities of the city’s two major universities.
